We are Northernlight Filmworks an international cinematography company. Northernlight Filmworks produces stylized wedding films custom made for our clients. Based out of Noblesville, IN, Northernlight Filmworks is available for travel worldwide.
What’s in the name? John traveled to Alaska for the Idirod in 1998. While there he had an opportunity to see the amazing Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). John had observed the lights in Minnesota but the lights in Alaska were incredible. The ribbons of color as they moved across the sky was breathtaking and each pass was different than the other. It was like God was painting with a paint brush and the sky was the canvas.
This is the origin of Northernlight Filmworks. Just like the Northern Lights, we want our work to always be evolving, engage the eye and capture the spirit and emotion of the moment. To be beautiful and inspiring.
John
John has always seen things in a visual perspective. It is not uncommon for him to sit at the mall or on the street and just be content on watching people and how they interact with each other. Wedding Cinematography grew out of a love for photography, which he still engages in. John is fascinated by people and their stories. With 4 girls and 1 boy, life is always interesting, they create some of the best memories.
John loves romantic comedies and interesting documentaries.
Jennifer
Jennifer is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Elementary Education. Although not teaching anymore, Jennifer uses her skills to keep Northernlight Filmworks, organized and running smoothly. She has a passion for film and enjoys romantic comedies, which translates into the romantic films she shoots and edits. "I always get wrapped up in the stories of our couples and find myself with tears falling down my face during the vows as I am filming. I want to tell their story, because it is unique and unlike anyone else".
