This wedding will go down as one of the upper tier most beautiful weddings we had in 2010. A credit to Stefanie’s vision and Kim King Smith Events. We always seem to luck out and get great couples with equally great families. The wedding was at St. John’s downtown, which is one of our favorite old churches to shoot at. The old churches really have a lot of character and there is a certain romance about them. We shot quite a bit of 16mm film and Super 8 film for this wedding. There is some black and white film that was shot and this is true black and white film stock. Film always adds to the romantic feel of the wedding. Film has natural grain in it and imperfections that give the wedding film some texture.
The reception was at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, which is also one of our top places to shoot. The reception was over the top beautiful. How about that cake from Heavenly Sweets…it tastes as good as it looks.
Thank you Stefanie and Bryan for choosing Northernlight Filmworks to film your wedding!

It’s been a little over a year since Whitney and I became husband and wife and it has been the greatest year yet. Looking back on our first year as a married couple has brought back so many memories. Since then we have made some changes in careers and many changes to our house in Fishers. I have decided to spring into the wedding industry and coordinate weddings as well as work part time as a teacher. Whitney has made many updates to the inside of our home including an outdoor oasis. We enjoy many things together and especially playing with our pups Lucy and Lacy. This first year as newlyweds has been a blast and we couldn’t have asked for more! It has flown by and it reminds us to take time to look back and remember all those moments in life that go by so quickly.
As we approached our first year anniversary, we also knew how much fun it would be to look back at our wedding film produced by John and Jennifer of Northernlight Filmworks. It brought back even more great memories of our wedding day. We just love bringing it out every now and again to remind ourselves of what a great day it was. Having them capture every moment with family and friends was the best thing we could have decided to do. We always know we will have this film to watch for years to come! We can’t thank John and Jennifer enough for the amazing work they put together for us!

This was a wedding we filmed in Carmel, IN. We really enjoyed shooting this one. While I was shooting I kept thinking that Jamie reminded me of someone and it wasn’t until I was outside with her getting some shots and it hit me that she had a striking resemblance to Eva Longoria. We worked with Joni Streit Photography and had such a great time working with her.

This was a wedding we filmed in Indianapolis, IN. The wedding was at Geist Christian Church. The ceremony was beautiful and it was very apparent that Afton and her Father have a great Father / Daughter relationship. The anticipation of walking down the aisle with his daughter, made us wonder what was going through his mind. Afton and Joe have quite a story of how they met and the romance involved a long distance relationship. We believe that every single wedding has a distinct story and personality and this wedding involved a story of fate and faith. Just goes to show you that if you want to make a long distance relationship, it certainly can be done, but it takes work. But Joe and Afton remind us that if you love someone, it is work that is well worth the effort.
The reception was held at the Skyline Club, which is the same location where Joe proposed to Afton. We worked with Ardent Stills Photography.
Thanks Afton and Joe!

This was a wedding we filmed at Northminister Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, IN. We loved the bright yellow color of the inside of this church. It was a beautiful wedding. Prior to the wedding we met with Amanda and Keith for dinner and learned a little more about them and also found out that it was not too long ago that Amanda lost her father. We are sure he was smiling on this day. The reception was held in the Garden Pavillion at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, Indiana. We worked for the first time with Dan and Brooke of Brand Photodesigngo and had a great time. Amanda’s makeup artist was done by eyeMAX by Kiralee.
Thank you Amanda and Keith for choosing Northernlight Filmworks to film your wedding day.
